 Miranda Cosgrove arrives in sparkles to the 2011 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (January 5). The 17-year-old actress, wearing Nicole Miller and Ippolita Silver large pin ball clip earrings, is up for two awards tonight — Favorite Family Movie for Despicable Me and Favorite Family TV Movie for iCarly: iPsycho. Miranda Cosgrove is working hard on new music and her first single “Dancing Crazy” hit iTunes today. The new song was cowritten by Avril Lavigne (you can definitely hear the influence) and the cover artwork for it is above. Cosgrove was in the studio today, working with Rivers Cuomo from Weezer on a new single and she tweeted:

Big Time Rush gets some holiday help from Miranda Cosgrove in the seasonal treat: Big Time Christmas. The guys of BTR want to head home to Minnesota for the break but find out they have to record 3 songs for a holiday EP before they can go anywhere. On the Mariah Carey song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Carlos, Logan, Kendall and James get Miranda to duet with them – and have Fabio dressed as Santa driving a sleigh!  Miranda Cosgrove offers up some home made spaghetti tacos to George Lopez as she appears on Lopez Tonight earlier last week. In addition to sharing a float with the minions of Despicable Me earlier this morning, it was just announced that he 17-year-old iCarly actress will be participating in this year’s Christmas in Washington with Andrea Bocelli! Annually attended by the President and First Lady and other Washington VIPs, Christmas in Washington is a holiday musical celebration benefiting the Children’s National Medical Center.
